I’m Alison Blenkinsop and I live in Aldershot with my husband Tony.
Through my enABle breastfeeding support service, I can help families with baby feeding.
My book Fit to Bust is a light-hearted look at breastfeeding.
Through my musical enterprise, HOPE, I act as piano accompanist for music exams, competitions and recitals. I am also a Pastoral Assistant at my parish church, St Michael’s.
My aim is to help you find the information you need, either from this site or by linking to others. You can contact me here.
NEWSFLASH! To celebrate my 60th birthday and draw my breastfeeding career to a close, I staged a show entitled The Mammary Dialogues on Saturday 26th March 2011 in Aldershot. 75 people, aged between 17 months and 95 years, enjoyed a presentation of photos, funny stories, interviews and songs, and raised over £360 for the Children’s Society. Read more about it here.
Why linkABle?
I love word games and symbolism. This is an anagram of my email address (aliblenk). LINK also relates to my ethos of being a link in the chains of support and encouragement which we all need. My vision is to help link people together – mums and dads to their babies (and to other sources of help), musicians to their audiences, everyone to each other and to God. ABLE relates to my desire to empower others – to help them create something life-giving and beautiful. I am very grateful for the opportunities I have to fulfil these dreams.
